For those that do not know what the Hall of Monuments is, it is a special way to be able to link Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 together. This was done like this because the game takes place 250 years after the end of the first game and the stories that are used in Guild Wars Beyond. With it being so far in the future or after the first game you definitely can not have the same character from the first but you can use some of the achievements of your Guild Wars character in the sequel MMO. You access those achievements in the Hall of Monuments at The Eye of the North.
This marks the 3rd open beta weekend for Guild Wars 2. This is the last one that they are going to be having before they release the entire game to the public on August 28 of this year. For those that pre-purchased the game, they will get a 3 day head start. It is sure to be one hell of a week when it is released. As to this weekend all characters were wiped and everyone is making new characters. What makes it even more special is that we can now make Sylvari and Asura characters.
Here below is a video of a character being created, a Sylvari Ranger. The video shows all of the steps that you take when you are creating a character. I have added some narration to the video so you know what is going on. You will also hear the games music as well so you know what to expect when you finally create your own character. Just so you know, each option that you choose will change the video that you get to see after character creation. You determine what it is that you are going to see as you choose your characters traits and pick their life choices. So your video might not be like the one that you see here because of that fact.

I think people have really bad attitudes. Just in general. Which is funny because most of the time I have a really bad attitude. So really, I’m an expert on bad attitudes. Which is why I think a lot of the forum posters, and blog posts about overflow servers are short-sighted and cranky. Do I think it’s a perfect system? No, but I think it’s better than waiting in a queue and not playing at all, and that should be the main thought on everyone’s mind, but it isn’t.
Just to explain, an overflow server is the Guild Wars 2 solution to crowded servers. When a zone becomes full, a second copy of that zone is produced and those wishing to log in and, instead of being sent to a login screen with a timer, you are sent to the copy and allowed to play.
Champions Online has had a make over and is now free to play and hosted by Perfect World. Originally coded and made by Cryptic we now have the MMO that is free to play and actually quite fun to play as well. From the time that you log in to the time you log out you do have fun with the characters that you make. Even making a character is fun to do and you could spend an hour or more just doing that. The hardest part of the game was waiting for the game to download and then patch itself. For those with very VERY fast download speeds it wont take you long but those with slow DSL will be waiting a while as when I downloaded the game it was 3 and a half gigs and the patch was 256 megs. Even after patching the game still is loading areas and textures in the background which might give you a few hick-ups now and then but nothing that will get your character killed as you play.
I have been playing a lot of online games for both fun, excitement and for reviews and there is one constant in every single one of them. That one constant is that there are a ton of people that just don’t care about anything or anyone then themselves. You know who I am talking about, the NOOB haters. Actually they think everyone is a noob. If you make a mistake your a noob. If you beat them in a battle, you used a noob trick. If you have a question your a noob. They hate noobs, so they hate everyone. If you try to get any kind of information they flame you and cut you down. If you do anything a way other then they think it should be done you are automatically a noob and not worth their time. Your not worth your own space in the universe and sometimes they even say you should just go die because you are such a noob. They think they are so elite that they are gods and they are probably ages 14 to 16 in my opinion.
